RUTHERFORD COUNTY ALUMNAE CHAPTER
History

In the summer of 1983, six energetic sorority sisters started talking about organizing an alumnae chapter in Rutherford County, Tennessee. Early in 1984, Luvenia Harrison Butler again contacted local sorority sisters in national and nearby local chapters. These efforts resulted in the chartering of the Rutherford County Alumnae Chapter on Saturday, May 4, 1985, at Middle Tennessee State University's University Center (UC) at 11:00 a.m. with Verdelle Bellamy, Southern Regional Director, and Pamela Cook, Southern Regional Representative, officiating.
A reception was held to formally introduce the new chapter to the Rutherford County community on Saturday, June 15, 1985, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Tennessee Room of the James Union Building, Middle Tennessee State University in
Murfreesboro, Tennessee
